Aan de noordkant wordt de stad beschermd door het Taurusgebergte en in het zuiden door de Middellandse Zee wat uiteraard zorgt voor een zeer aangenaam klimaat met warme zomers en milde winters. Gazipaşa is een mooie en gezellige badplaats met een rustige sfeer en een klein aantal lokale bewoners.
Zeker als je je zo ver mogelijk wilt "verstoppen" voor de drukte van megasteden is Gazipaşa een uitgelezen keuze.
Op vrijdag kan u naar de versmarkt waar verse groenten, vis en fruit in overvloed te koop zijn en uiteraard zijn er volop restaurants en bistro's waar u kan genieten van de heerlijke Turkse keuken aan zeer lage prijzen.
